removing laser diode

i have a dx 50mw laser and i was wondering how to get the module out or lens cap off so i could clean it with lens paper/tissue.

I wouldn't recommend using paper/tissue as it could damage the lens.

Do that minus the scratches.

It's pretty much impossilbe to do without scratches... I put the cap in a vice, and twist off the long end with pliers, or my hands if it's easier.

Or you could just do that.
