Refund? DragonLasers?

I was just going to say that you should get some screen shots of their return policy Incase they try to change it on you, with a lab laser return clause.

:)

Edit: I just can't believe they are doing this...

You really nailed it, that is what they did just today! It now shows that laser systems are not refundable, that was not there this morning. They really are unbelievable at this point. Here I was just lauding them for their awesome diffraction gratings in another thread, but now I would not do business with them for anything ever again.

LOLOLOLOLOL!

What a scam. What should I do next? I have proof of their lies.

Edit: They are just trying to cover their tracks.

I don't know at this point. Talk to someone at your bank perhaps, explain the situation. You still have the laser so I don't know how a refund through your bank can happen since you still have it. I think you should start by communicating with someone at your bank first if you are at a standstill with DL after the next reply. I mean the laser can be sent back with proof of delivery confirmation that they received their product back so you would have that for your bank dispute. But then you don't want to be out your money and the laser. I don't know man, this is f'ed up what they did.

I don't expect DL to reply to me or give me a refund. I'll talk to the bank tomorrow, see what they suggest and go from there.

Avoid DL at all cost!

Honestly, if they had a shred of decency and customer service etiquette, what they should have done here is quite simple. Accept their product back, refund you and create a good customer service experience that would make you want to come back in the future. Then, seeing as they weren't clear on their policies, amend their return policy to coincide with their intentions they have for their line of laser systems. Versus, kicking their customer in the balls, quickly changing their return policy to hide their mistake and then ignoring their customer's attempt at communication. I wish you luck in this Alex, hope it all gets sorted out.

I was looking at your post on those diffraction gratings too. I was seriously contemplating picking up a couple. Maybe not so much now!
This is just a dick move on their part! :(

Yeah, it is a shame that a company has to conduct themselves in this kind of manner. Their gratings are great too, but this kind of thing leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I have a hard time doing business with companies that show their true colors like this. It definitely was a dick move.

Just email Adam that your purchase was under the terms and conditions before the changed the return policy today and made all lab laser sales final.

Send him the screen shot of the return policy you have.

Tell him you are not satisfied and ask him to give you an RMA.

I don't think the bank can do much but you can ask---tell them you want to despute the charge because the seller had a no questions asked return for a full refund less shipping charges policy in effect at the time of your purchase. Let the bank tell him to issue an RMA and the product will be promptly returned if they will do that for you.

Maybe the Bank can do something--you have a right to dispute any charge. If the seller does not have a signature on a credit card slip then the seller ultimately loses and you get your money back .

If it does come to pass that an RMA is issued be sure to send it via a trackable method that requires a signature when delivered.

Thanks Encap,

I have sent him an email where I told him it didn't specify lab lasers(before it was changed) and asked for an RMA to send it back. Im awaiting his reply(which I doubt he will answer).

I agree with Lux. All they had to do was refund me, then change the policy, not jerk the customer around. Realize I've spent almost $1k there.

Well....

Adam is accepting my return. He has told me to package the laser head and PSU in two different packages and send on different dates.

?

Glad to hear that he will accept the return! Still shouldn't have gone down the way it did but at least it worked out.

Indeed!

My mother suggested I head to the bank tomorrow, get the charges reversed just in case. I am also not shipping 2 packages to China and paying $85 each.

*sigh* what a mess....

Well that is a weird request. Be sure to get tracking and signature confirmation upon delivery.
