If you don't have any prior laser knowledge I don't recommend you getting any laser above 5mW. Even 5mW lasers can damage your eyes. Please read and then think before you do anything! To answer your question, it probably would light a match tip that is colored black. And we know because we know what kind of power of laser does what.

+ it's totally no fun at all to light a match , buy a lighter or keep looking at my avatar :)
