Recommendation of a cheap scanner for band shows

Hi. I'm new to the whole laser scanner thing, and Im looking to buy something not too expensive to use during gigs with a few of my friend's bands, and nothing too powerful, as people would be pretty close to the stage at some of these venues. I was looking at something like this http://www.chinesedepartmentstore.com.cn/osc/product_info.php/products_id/1602 with the addition of a DMX controller to more effectively control the effects to the time of the music.

That's a bit out of my budget, andy. £270 is over $533, I do believe. I'm also looking for something thats at least RG, if not RGY. Gives more of a wow effect.
