Hello, this is my first thread on the website, and I am about to make my first laser purchase (yes, I know, 1w is a lot of power for a first laser lol) and as the title suggests, I am stuck between the Rayfoss 1w blue laser and the 1w laser from Dragonlasers. Here are a couple of the pros and cons of them:

Rayfoss laser
Pros:
less expensive
Comes with a nice carrying case
powerful (obviously :P)

Cons:
Less known company
bad duty cycle
Not a fan of the beam focusing

Dragonlasers laser
Pros:
Well known and reputable company with good reviews on many of their products
Shipping appears to be quicker
Again, very powerful

Cons:
More expensive (not including the much higher shipping cost)
I have heard of a disappointing beam divergence from other sources

So if anyone has had any experience with these two lasers, please post here and tell me which one is more worth buying. Thanks :D

P.S, sorry if this is in the wrong thread, but it is my first post, so be nice :o

IF the rayfoss is focusable, i would go with it, rayfoss won't dick you around either, slow boat from china, but the purchases I have had with them have all gone great, and flawless, my 100mW greenie outputs 175mW.

So, it seems like you have your pro's and con's there, so really, the choice is up to you. Both are good companies.

But the main thing you need to worry about the MOST is your laser goggles. You really really NEEEEED THEM.
