So, I just ordered everything I need for my first laser (Blu-Ray, Dorcy Jr Host). I am thinking that when I build my second laser, Id like to have one as a pointer host. Iv seen people around the forum with pointers but were they just bought? Or is there a host that you can buy that is a pointer?

Also, do pointers have a heatsink? I know a Flexdrive can fit in them but I don't see a heatsink in there...

We use many different pointer style hosts (Leadlight, Newish, WL, etc.) They do not have additional heat sinking beyond the module head and the body of the host. You have to be more mindful of heat with a pointer style laser.

Ahhh I see. So I imagine that alot of the time when you are buying a pointer style laser(already built), your also buying a future host if you catch my drift 8-)
