Question on best low-cost goggles

Currently planning on a few pairs of rayfoss so that I can actually say yes when friends want to see the burning capacity of my 1.8W 445nm, wondering if anyone has suggestions for similar-but-better, or even lower priced options.

And yeah, I know that for this price I'm not gonna get any super-great goggles, but... I don't have $50-$80 to spend on just one pair. These are largely to protect against the diffuse scatter which is still dangerous from a 445 at this power. And while I'm not gonna take it for granted, the rayfoss pair is billed as OD 5-6, which I understand is appropriate for 1.8W, and the company has a high enough reputation around the forum that I figure they're at least decent.

I have a few pairs of Uvex SCT-orange glasses. I can't imagine you will find much better in a cheap pair. They are USA made by Honeywell, and block 445nm almost completely. I have a ~1.6W laser and all I can see is a faint spot when I am wearing them. They cost about $9 on amazon:

I may grab a pair of these... I'll still have the certified pair from the GB for myself, but these could be sufficient for people watching from a further distance, in cases where there is no chance of spectral or mirror reflection, only diffuse light.

Looks like this reviewer has already tested the goggles with a meter, but does anyone else have an opinion on these?

Labeled as "ultra-spec", and they look as though they may work better over glasses. A review by a laser hobbyist appears in this one too.

Yea, the "Skyper" style that I got gives great protection from all angles, but they definitely won't fit over glasses. The ones you noted use the same SCT-orange dye, but they look much more glasses-friendly (they are cheaper too). The "ultra spec" is just the name of the frame style, I doubt it has anything to do with functionality.
