Ordered myself an lzcb 200mW 532nm from lazerer the other day and decided to get myself a pair of these to go with it: Beginner Safety Goggles for 532nm / 445nm Laser

I was thinking ahead and was wondering if >5 O.D. is good enough for 1W of 445nm, or will I need better ones?

EDIT: better yet, I know the OD rating is a percentage of how much light is passed. Does somebody know the formula forfor it?

OD5 is enough for 1W 445nm lasers...

But im sure those goggles won't be OD5... :undecided:
Look at the price...

If you're looking for (cheap) working goggles;
EaglePair or Dragonlaser's goggles are good
