Putting a pic in your signature....

I tried to do that the other night and every time I typed in the URL for the photo I wanted to use and clicked "change profile" nothing happened. I put the URL in the box above and not in the signature box. My photo hosting site is working fine, but I don't know how to get any images to show up in the signature area.

Also, I have two video links there and only one is actually "linked" - it suddenly became that way a few days ago when I added the 2nd link, but I can't get the 2nd one to be a clickable link. HTML code doesn't seem to work, either. I still hand-code all my Ebay auctions so I do know how to get links to show up as such.

How do I solve these problems?

this board uses bbcode for links and media etc... HTML is filtered out for security purposes.

to make your link clickable, use "URL" in square brackets...
ie:

[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOp4XQQKpOM]"Killer YAG"[/url]

will give you:
"Killer YAG"

or:

[url]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOp4XQQKpOM[/url] - "Killer YAG"

will give you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOp4XQQKpOM - "Killer YAG"

to make images appear, use "IMG" in square brackets...
ie:

[img]http://www.google.com/intl/en_ALL/images/logo.gif[/img]

will give you:

hey Schrecken_Licht, sorry for the delay i was traveling today

please try uploading it again now, it should work. i went to your profile and did the 'delete' option for the avatar and now everything should be fresh

I got the pic and links working - but now my avatar is missing and I can't get it back. I tried both uploading it and putting in the off-site link. It's the same one I've always had - so it isn't too big. Any suggestions? Never had trouble with that before.

Are you checking the little check box that says "I will use my own avatar" (or something like that)?
