Ps3 laser question?

Hello I am new to the blue ray lasers. I just bought all the supplies needed to make a Dorcy jr. I am using a ps3 laser diode and I am just wondering what is a good ma to set the driver to? I want to to strong but not to push the limits. Thanks for your help!!!

You want to set the driver to 38mA for a good safe diode life.

Ditto the above 38ma will give you between 15 and 20mw output.
