and yes i got the proper saftey glasses i did do a bit of research into what the responsible requirments were for this laser

Don't touch the Potentiometer (Pot) it is set at a certain
Laser Diode current. Playing with it could increase the current
to the LD and damage it...

You must have........... you responded in PM..:thinking:
NO... What I would suggest is that you get another
Power Supply of 12VDC but at least capable of suppying
3-4 Amps minimum... just to make sure..

It is working.... It is just that his PS is
heating up within 15 minutes... from
