Hi once again LPF!
It was after looking at some beautiful pictures by many laser owners with cool ideas that inspired me to make some laser art myself and a thread for posting out-of-the-ordinary laser works!

When it comes to laser art, I found that just about any random clear thing in the house from water glasses and marbles, to fish tanks made awesome effects when a laser was shined through them!

I grabbed a ton of different glass items lying around the house and decided to shine my cheap eBay lasers through them and experiment! A glass candle holder was one of the things I used and the effects it made in a dark room were pretty cool.

When I shined my Red, Green and Violet lasers through, it made some interesting colors on the wall behind.

Here are the lasers shining through the glass candle holder:

I was amazed at the color effects you could make with all these random things sitting around the house! The candle pictures turned out the best so I decided I would use those for posting online. I hope you like them and feel free to post some of your own laser art work!

Edit: I was only able to post 800 x 600 images so PM me if you would like me to email the full 4000 x 3000 images.

For some reason I cant see your pictures. I noticed there are quite a few pictures in LPF I cant see but others can. What image format are you using? Maybe I can fix my problem.

That first pic Silverfire is so cool. Looks like colored smoke. Would be. Great wallpaper

Thx :yh: and if anyone does wants it as a wallpaper, I have the 4000 x 3000 Jpeg pictures but it still looks rather the same to me. Just more pixels. I'll be experimenting with some more objects round the house as well.

you should get a lumia motor for that candlestick holder, it makes an awesome lumia effect, and slowly turning it will make it even better :D

Got some more pictures tonight using something else. This time I got hold of glass cup with ridged edges and it made slightly more smooth effects than the candle holder.

I also filled the cup with water and it helped make better pictures.

I think I'll have to try that! I do have a lot of spare motors sitting around so I might try to fit them to a slow spinning platform.
Thanks for the idea!

Looks like spirits or something.

He was probably moving the beam or camera with a long exposure.
BTW nice artsy fartsy stuff here, I love the first bit. :D
