Lol, actually meant to put those words in opposite order. I'm somewhat of a dyslexic reader/typist:p

This is a perfect example though. If you didn't quote me, and there was no "Last edited by" I could have just changed it, and then asked what you were talking about. In a sale thread that could lead scamming.

Yeah, I suspected that might be the case. :p

I see no reason at all why people should be able to change what was posted without it being noted.

The point of changing the time setting was because of people editing their posts to cover something stupid they said, changing buy/sell posts, and scammers covering their tracks. We had a big discussion on this, and thats why it changed. Now people want it gone because its doing what its suppose to do. I dont like it either, but you cant have both. I'd rather keep scams, and other missuses in check, so I live with it. I dont think that because we're used to proof reading our posts after they are posted a good enough reason to go back.
You misunderstand T_J...

Prior to the discussions about the scammers editing their posts
to cover things up a while back... you were able to edit a post
before someone posted behind you without the "Last edited by XXX"
box showing up...

Back then... the "Edit Removal " discussion was about removing the
Post Edit option all together and C0ld tried it for a few hours and it
seemed that no-one like it and c0ld re-enabled it...
Ever since then... the Edit timeout changed from what it was...

My observation is that after he re-enabled the Post Edit option...
we no longer were able to edit our posts without having the
"Last edited by XXX" box showing up... even without anyone
posting behind that post and with Zero seconds delay...

My suggestion is that you should be able to edit the last Post
if it is within 1-2 minutes of posting it or until someone posts
right behind it...... without having the "Last edited by XXX"
box showing up...
Like it used to be before the Edit Removal Testing was done....

I want the "Last edited by XXX" box showing up... but only
AFTER a small delay or after someone posts behind that post...

I understand completely.

I cant say for a fact, but with the delay I dont think the forum logs the edit. Thats why he left the timer at 0. Or its the way you describe. Either way its a minor inconvenience. I've adapted, and I proof read my post before posting now.

If its bugging you so much open a poll. Avery response well with numbers. I'll vote to up the limit if you are correct. Or simply ask Avery if he can do it, or not. He doesnt lurk the forum much, so there is a good chance he doesn't even know this thread exists. You have to be pro-active to get things done.

You have a good point about contacting Avery...
He's had his hands full in the last week with the Servers..
It doesn't bother me that much... it's just annoying and
I wanted to bring the change to light...

The other Laser Forums that I attend still have that small
delay built in... It's just on LPF that it has disappeared
since the last "Post Edit" tests..
