PM limit?

i have seen a few posts around with stuff like "just posting this so i can PM", and the requirement is 1 post isn't it? well i was thinking we could slightly increase this limit so that people can't just do that, then pm someone. like if someone just joined to spam people through pm's, that is all they would have to say, then they could?? even increasing this limit to like 5 posts would be good? any suggestions/ideas?

yes, but then they could just make 5 posts, or just make 10, and it would annoy the non-spammy users. i'm assuming the real purpose of this limit is to keep out purely automated spam bots. just wondering, have you actually recieved PM spam? i never have, so if it's a problem then i don't know about it...

ummm well yeah, but the user has been banned now. i was meaning in the fact that people just come over here, post 1 post like "im posting this so i can PM" in the middle of a thread??

Well folks that usually post things like that are people we really don't want here IMO.

I think and will request that the limit stay the same or be higher to stop spammers full stop. If a member is genuine then this should not be a problem....

And besides most members that make use of the PM have more than enough posts to there names ;D
