Hi folks,

I have a problem... I want to electrically isolate a green laser module
inside a heatsink from the rest of the host and still remain good thermal
contact
with it?

I don't want to use glue based solution.. I need something that I can remove
whenever I choose to without breaking the whole thing :D

The driver I use is a switching driver and neither positive or negative outputs are
continuous with the battery's!
So the host (flashlight host) connects the
negative of the battery with the driver!

I was reading some threads here and there about that thermal tape ..ummrh
something with a "K" .. can't remember it now and using other drivers for regulating the
negative path but those just won't work for me...

I was thinking about wrapping the heatsink inside a heatshrink???
But I am not sure if the silicone/rubber/nylon/polyolefin or whatever it is
made of will hold the heat inside or pass it on ???

The diode module is DX 30mW Green.. it uses 150mW IR diode.. I am running it at 370mA...
(380mA max according to datasheet)
What do you think ...
Any help would be appreciated!
