PLP520B1 diodes has been discontinued. B2 is being sold now. i want know about the B2 diode

Is it better than the PL520?:)
 





Hi,
They are basically the same 1&2 Both are 120mW diodes SM and the PL520 is a 50mW diode , all these are great diodes with decent divergence. here is a pic of one of my PL520B diodes..This one comes in at 160mW's set to 250/275mA /G2 lens..

The PLP520 diodes are multi But I want to use PLP because of its good durability. When the PLP520 diode is 500 mA current, the output is more than 200 mW?
 
Hi Yes they are MM sorry typing to fast the reason I set mine lower is to be conservative like with all my diodes. I really don't like running them to hot that's just me. Well hope you well in your builds would like to see what you come up with .

If you buy plp520b1 from dtr you can get it with nano driver and it’ll be set to 470. Use a 2E 520 lens. With G2 it makes some yucky diode reflections.
 
B1 It's discontinued but the DTR is monopolizing it. I just want to know what the for the current B2 maximum output
 
You can get it on Techhood as well. Or at least I’ve seen it advertised. Generally ¥2000 cheaper, too. Not sure if Techhood’s advertising is 100% truthful. They have a good rep. But, with DTR you know 100% of what you’re buying.

300ma is okay for this diode,you can use 500ma boost driver from X-wossee on eBay ,it is 22usd/pcs and set at 300ma
And if you can wait,wait for 130mw 520nm sharp,new Diode come on 2019 and it will available on eBay after few mouth,i sure.maybe can reach 200-300mw
 
Techhood does not sell B1. only B2 ver is available. they are said " 90mw in stock. 120mw is no stock "
 
Hey Miya! DTR also has the PL520 and PL520B. These single mode diodes can be pushed pretty hard. And, they don’t reveal nasty die reflections with a G2. From my experience they have better divergence. But, the B1 is a solid performer for a MM green.

I'll just wait for the release of a better single green laser. i think PL520B is more better than PLP520 B1 and B2
I saw that it could be up to 180 mw.

Okinawa! I want to go there next time.
