I have a pen-type GLP that uses 2 AAA batteries. Its a 5mw Chinese model that I bought at a mall store. It worked fine up until yesterday when it just stopped. I can see a small red glow inside the tip but it will not produce a green beam. I have replaced the batteries with new Duracells and Energizer Lithiums but that hasn't helped either. What is the diagnosis of this laser?

DO NOT LOOK INTO THIS LASER.
That red dot is 808(?) infrared and will damage your eyes.
Your laser is basically dead. Either the crystals got misaligned or damaged.
