Hey everyone, I finally put my Chrome Pocket Mini to use after about 5 months of it taunting me on my desk.
First off, Here's a picture of it
[I will take more photos but in higher quality photos when I get the chance]
So the reason this took me a long time to build was because I just never got around to buying a Flexdrive.
Well that and the original module I intended to put in was murdered by my brother who tried to play with it
while I was on vacation. He shorted it out trying to attach it with alligator clips then he broke the pot off in
an uneducated attempt at trying to fix it. Gotta love siblings. But I was only mad for about 5 minutes.
I don't have a diode press tool (yet) so I was able to press it in a little carefully using the chuck on my drill.
So focusing it to infinity is not a problem.
I opted for a 405nm laser in this host for 2 reasons.
1.) I have been working with a lot of red lasers and wanted a change of "scenery"
2.) The heatsink would be a little too ineffective for my taste of reds. So I thought a relatively low
powered purple laser would be well suited.
I think Jayrob did a great job on the heatsink, it works and fits flawlessly!
Here's a link to the page where he sells the kits: http://laserpointerforums.com/f64/fs-pocket-mini-build-kit-easy-assembly-22537.html
Anyway, it's all complete.
Specs
Diode: PHR-805t
Power Source: RCR213A Tenergy 3.2V
Diode Current: 152mA
Estimated Output: ~125mW
Lens: Aixiz Glass
[Beamshots To Be Added SOON]
