I know the abundance of threads like this, but I am just looking for some verification as to if this would be all of the correct parts needed for my PHR-803T laser build. I will be building the driver based on ROG8811's changes to Deadal's original LM317 driver found HERE.

1N4001-T Rectifier Diode Digikey # 1N4001DICT-ND
RES METAL FILM 10.0 OHM 1/4W 1% Digikey # P10.0CACT-ND
3319P-1-101 Potentiometer Digikey # 3319P-101-ND
LM317T/NOPB Digikey # LM317TNS-ND
CAP ELECT 10UF 16V 20mA Ripple Digikey # P965-ND
BATT HOLDER 9V WIRE LEADS Digikey # BH9V-W-ND
PHR-803T HD-DVD laser lens with violet laser diode

Finally if those are all correct I am looking for suggestions as to a LD housing to use.
 





That module is fine. In fact I have a PHR diode sitting in one of those on my desk now that I ordered from them. You'll likely only use the front part of it in whatever host you use unless you use a larger one or a project box to house it. If you haven't check out Mohrenberg's video on youtube that shows how to extract a PHR diode if you haven't before. Take it easy and you'll be fine. If you have extracted diodes before using the solder blob method it doesn't work very well with PHR diodes. The next time I extract one I'll use the cut away method instead.

The only thing I'm not sure of is your choice of cap. For some reason I seem to remember reading not to use a ripple cap. (Someone please correct me if I'm wrong) I used these when I built a DDL driver.

I ended up not using them in the final driver because wouldn't fit in the tiny host i used and I'd read many people having their diodes blow even when they discharged the cap before attaching it.
 
I would advise against using one of those 9V rectangle batteries, they have very little capacity. Use 2 Li Ions instead.

Smaller caps, and esp ceramic I think metal film caps? Have better transient response vs larger caps, and esp elecrolytic caps.
