Here's a few pics of the actual "monstrosity" I have created - I have it apart again to improve on it some more - and will post beam shots, etc either later tonight, or tomorrow night.... (Displayed next to a Dragon Case)

The Dragon case was an all important factor in manufacturing this laser - I wanted it to be able to fit in there, nice and snug - without any wiggle room ! This laser is focus on the fly....

If you're looking for additional heatsinking, you may try home depot or lowes specialty hardware section and see if they have a brass or stainless steel coupling (maybe 1/2" or 5/8") you could slip over the head of the laser withh a bit of thermal grease.

It actually runs VERY cool !

I don't think you will have heating problems with that assembly.
You using "my driver board"?
