Patch Blocker for ps3?

I have been playing mw2 on my ps3 for quite awhile (about 11 days total playtime), and Ive seen some really fun good glitches come, and then thanks to patches, go. I don't realy play anymore, but probably would if I could pull off some glitches. I just wanted to know if anyne knows of a patch blocker or some sort of something that bypasses the automatic patches. You can delete the patches at your XMB, but when you want to play online it will re-install them. Just wanted to know if there is anything that could prevent them from being re-installed after deletion.

Does it require a software update to install? If so, someone could probably find a way to pass it (they've done so with the firmware updates). If it's automatic, I don't think so.
