Is it legal to put on a laser show outside with lasers pointing up? My uncle is putting on a firework display and he agreed to let me put on a show when I finally get the parts for it.
I have a choice though. I plan to use the smoke from the fireworks to aid the beam and have like a beam show pointing up to the sky at the same time as the fireworks are going but I am not sure if there will be any problems with that, I may be sound activating the laser to some music or perhaps just to the sound of the fireworks. Is there a problem with pointing them up like that? It wont be for too long, 5 mins max.
If there is a problem I will have to do some animation show on the back fence, only problem with that is the fact the smoke will mean the beams are highly visible and the fact people will be looking up at the fireworks in the sky, not at the back fence.
So is it legal to point the laser upwards?
