So yesterday I decided to crank one of my 445nm to 2A. Highest previously was 1.4A. I attached the guy to a peltier cooler (from a mobile mini fridge) and compared it to my 1 Watt 532nm outside.
Mid-air they almost look identicle in brightness. Only when I spray some aerosol in the beam does the green outshine the blue. Nevertheless still damn bright.
The one pic shows the green and blue compared to 500mw 635nm...Oh and thats Obie, my laser obsessed Jack Russell.
Oh BTW, my neighbours were having a braai (I think you call it barbacue outside of South Africa) so the beams were a little enhanced by the smoke trickling over the wall.
