Unluckily any 3-letter words are filtered out of a search here, so I cannot search for CNI and find out if this question has been answered previously.. I have looked around for hours in search for any answers, but to no avail.
My question:
How do you find out prices and order from CNI? Their website speaks about the company as a producer and distributor, but does not list any information about prices on any units or shipping. They do have a list of retailers in different locations around the world, but each of these seem to be exactly the same: no prices and no shipping information.
I live in Belgium and have e-mailed CNI themselves as well as their UK, Netherlands, Germany and France distributors, all Tuesday 26 / 05 / 2009, but no answers have been given.
Do CNI and their distributors actually sell lasers online or are the websites simply there for product information in case you run into a unit of theirs on another site?
This might be a completely noob question and the answer might be right in front of my eyes, but I have looked everywhere in desperation.. I really need a 532nm labby with blanking for my scanner project!

Thank you in advance,
Sebastian

Thanks for the info, but doesn't appear to work -.- Anyone have proper input?

i asked them once and I got answered with prices etc... The price was a 20-30% cheaper than their resellers like dragonlasers or novalasers.

The problem with them is that they charge A LOT in shipping, and when ordering 1 or even 2 or 3 units it gets more expensive than buying them from novalasers. Also, novalaser is suposed to chek everyunit, CNI doesn't.

CNI is more of a distributor, not a retailer. they try to sell wholesale, as they are manufacturers of the CNI pens and other lasers.

Thanks but I want a LAB STYLE laser with BLANKING.. do you people not read? Nova does not sell labbies.
Thanks sk8er.. I guess I will have to find an acceptable price from another place, but the prices on these things just seem to be hugely inflated the moment they leave the manufacturer.

Thank you all for your help, and also to scopeguy20 for PM'ing me!
I have finally got in touch with CNI and I am also communicating with Laserwave and Aixiz.
One question though.. I have searched everywhere for this. I know basically everything about the scanner itself and have only to adjust some optics for it to be complete, but I have never actually found out the EXACT difference between TTL and analogue modulation. If any of you guys could explain it, it would be a great help to my project!

On these lasers TTL modulation accepts a 0-5 VDC signal which enables blanking (100% on or 0% off). Analog modulation accepts a varying signal from 0-5 VDC which enables power control (100% on through 0% off) so you can set the laser to 5% power, 50% power, etc. Both would usually be available with response rates from 10-30 kHz and rise/fall times somewhere in the range of 10-15 us, depending on the exact type of laser you're using.

If you're looking for a dependable, tested, and warranteed laboratory laser you can find one at www.laserglow.com. We guarantee all specifications and we're based in Toronto, Canada. You can contact me directly if you need a quote.

Thanks a lot for the explanation Justin! Now I think I understand most of what I needed to know - just have to choose a DAC. Wow, scanners are really fascinating but at the same time a headache.. so many new things to discover, understand, choose and most of all: PAY FOR!!!

Sorry, I have heard a lot about your high quality units and good service but I have chosen to deal with Laser-wave as Rob has what I am looking for and is situated in the UK, making shipping much cheaper and easier.
Once again thank you all!

Best wishes
Sebastian

The next time you wanna search something with 3 letters, add a * after the word and problem solved.

For example:
CNI*

For words with 2 letters, the same but also with a * before. Example:

*CN*
