Ordered a different aixiz module. Wrong one? help!

I mistakenly ordered a different one. I'm not sure if it will still work on a blu-ray though:

650nm 5mw 12X30mm brass case $4.50 USD
will this work for blu ray?

This is the one I got last time:
650nm 10mw 12mm X 30mm case $12.00 USD

I used this one for a senkat diode

I think they are identic except for the diode inside them before..

I saw someone who had a module with a glass piece around the lens. What kind of module was that?

What are you talking about, this housing (650nm 5mw 12X30mm brass case $4.50 USD) is the one everyone uses.

I meant to say metal piece. sorry.

but I did see a few pictures on here with a module that had a metal ring or something around the lens.

I think they only send them with the 10-pack of blank modules. I never got the focusing rings when I ordered mine though.

The aixiz one i got had a plastic slotted lens. The merideth has a knurled metal ring to use for focus.
