Optotronics problem(fixed)

Re: Completely unacceptable Optotronics!

I've never had a bad experience with Optotronics, Jack has been a pleasure to deal with. Shipping/shock misaligning the crystals has happened to me before. But, if you're really looking for a true 5mW, make sure it has APC

Just out of curiosity, what resolution did you come to, Hap? Refund or replace?

Hey paul,

Jack didn't offer a refund as he mentioned you agree to simply a replacement when you checkout and agree to the Terms of Use. I went ahead and got a 532 from Z-Bolt instead. I know a member (Dr. Evil) has a laser from them in his signature and went to checkout their website. Turns out they are located in Oregon and have some pretty good pointers. Their 532's also offer APC so that's a plus. Cost me about $38.99 :)

You are going to get it replaced aren't you ?

Haha,

Jack did offer to replace it for free but that's okay. Just want to leave this in the past, no biggie. :)

Hap, why not let Opto make good:undecided:?
it's a win win..for you and his reputation..

I agree, a win all the way around, and even better, you could evaluate your replacement Opto. laser, and even do a comparison with your new Z-Bolt unit.
Afterwards, you could sell the one you don't want to keep.

After opening this thread and seeing how awful you
thought that Optotrnnics Quality Control and service
was and getting a very quick reply from the seller with
a New Replacement Laser solution.... I agree you should
take Opto's offer and let them feel better as well.

It's the principle of the thing.... IMO
