They're both great companies. Laserglow is based in Canada and Optotronics is US based. It really depends which one you like more :)

Thanks, sounds good! Follow up question: what is the lens material for the Anser, any of Optotronics' pointers, and the WL Core? I actually scratched my Core's lens while CLEANING it with a MICROFIBER cloth... Don't want to risk that again.

most all of them use acrylic now to cut costs, since at that low of a power, there's no noticeable difference, and the lenses don't usually get dirty enough to matter for their intended purpose

I'm not sure of the lens material, but in the case of Optotronics, you could contact Jack, he usually responds quickly.

I've had an Optotronics 150mW pen for 3yrs, still going strong.
