Watch these three videos (all in all 3 or 4 minutes) and then brose my own Opera unite page. Pure awesomeness.

My own Opera unite page for my laptop. It took me less than 1 minute to set everything up. Password is "hallucynogenyc". Sorry for the low speed, my upload speed is pretty low :D Feel free to leave notes or to send me files ;)

Opera Unite Home by hallucynogenyc and Opera Unite

Again, Opera kicks other browsers asses. I wonder how long will it take for Mozilla/Microsoft to copy the idea.

I just tried Unite two days ago, it's freaking awesome. I've already got all my music shared :D

The awesome part on all this is the fact that Opera offers this service for free. And well, I won't discuss if there are better solutions for this purpose, but having this inside your browser, and specially being so freaking easy to setup is something no other software can beat!

This is balls. If they really want to change things then this should exist in every browser. Of course it will be copied.

What's so good about having this in a browser? I find separate programs much more convenient, DC++ ftw.

You can access it from any browser, you just need Opera to make the server.

@Grix: well, it simplify things. I actually have one program for Bittorrent, mail, web, IRC and file sharing. If you like having 6 programs opened for this it's up to you, but I'm pretty sure my option is way more efficient in terms of RAM/CPU consumption ;)

So you'd rather have a cell phone to make calls, an mp3 player to listen to music, a PMP to watch movies, a notebook to browse internet and a car to eat cereal rather than just having one single device that does it all? (Not the cereal eating, though).
