its been 3 day since my hdd make noise...
It died mins ago;(

Il look at a 400-500$ laptop on bestbuy even if i highly dislike the pad thing... I only had time to copy some cdkey, 3gb of song and not much else...

Il try to be around, i can be reached through my email and pm.

Il look at a 15" minimum w/ 120gb 1-2gb ram
1.2ghz il install win7 also and get rid of the shittie pre instl prog...

Im off my thumb hurt, i wrote all this on my ipod touch

Toshiba ones are cheap...

I am a huge fan of IBM thinkpads, expensive but once you use it for a while you see why. Still the best keyboards in the business, robust construction etc.

I have also had good experience with HP, this is the laptop I currently have for around the house.

Yeah, you can get one off www.newegg.com a 250Gig 2.5" HDD costs about 40-60 bucks. Just check to see if your laptops SATA or IDE

His HD was 8 years old :) Well before the days of SATA :p But these IDE drives are harder and harder to find, at least here in Slovenia.

Was fixing an old office computer for a friend and it took me a while to find a decent IDE drive.
