i ordered a 200mw new style red laser from O-like about 2 weeks ago and as i check up on the tracking number that was provided, the status of the package has not changed for 10 days :/ it still says that "Your item left HONG KONG AIR MAIL CENTRE, HONG KONG on Feb 5th, 2010" is it possible that my package got lost? what the hell is taking it so long to get to the U.S?

Chinese New Year. All transactions with China during Feb are very slow since the whole country shuts down for a couple weeks.

HEy nic, don't panic, as electrofreak said, its chenese new year. they are partying for the next couple of weeks. Its not unusual for items from china/hong kong to take 2 weeks at any time of year. If it left the air mail centre It MAY have gotten through before business closed. If so It will arrive sooner rather than later. If not, it will take longer. But it will get to you. Be patient.

It's called "Happy Chinese New Year" ! I have some parcels in limbo too. Happens every year and will sort itself out eventually. Hopefully yours left before this two week holiday and is just in the regular backlog. Seems to take 10-14 days normally.

It will be in the customs post office (Ithica, NY) for 4-8 days. The tracking will not show any progress until it leaves customs.
The fastest I ever received a laser from O-Like, was 22 days from the day of ordering.
