Been looking for a green laser and I was just curious on the quality of NOVA laser products.
 





Nova lasers is a trusted site.
They are a high quality distributor with good customer service.

I have heard that optotronics has matching quality and a TON cheaper
 
They are matching quality. At least. But ordinarily much more expensive Nova is offering over 70% off all their lasers.
You have maybe a week left.
 
Yeah I went ahead and purchased a X50 but from what I hear, they typically overspec their lasers so Im hoping for a little bit more outta it.
 
Which has better divergence? I bought an Opto 150mw that had crap divergence. My Opto 5mw had great divergence though...

The divergence of your Opto 150 was within the spec of <1.2mrad.
When you sent it back for me to checkout, I measured it to be 1.18mrad with average output of more than 160mw. I looked through my stock and offered to replace it with one I tested to be 1.09mrad, but with a slightly lower output power with an average of 154mw.
You decided you wanted your original pointer back that had the 1.18mrad with a slightly higher output.

I did the best I could for you, your pointer was in spec and I even hand selected a lower divergence one for you as an option which you refused.
 
Even with the discount, Optotronics is still way cheaper than Nova lasers. Not to mentions Optotronics are over spec, great customer service and a ton less cost.
 
Come on, let's not make crazy statements.
The Endeavor-250 Portable is $309.
The closest Optotronics is an RPL and it's over twice as much.
It's just a sale. It'll be over soon, then you'll be able to pay more.
 
WEll if Optotronics made one, (Which they should *hintbootleg2gohint* lol) THey would be cheaper, according to their pricing scale.

Without the sale though. Off sale Novalasers is like a bajallion dollars. Ha

Those Endeavor units are well worth the exra money IMO.
They are not normal pointers, have you seen the diameter?
The heatsinking must be excellent.

So the laser you received was had a divergence exactly, or even a bit better, then advertised and you say it was crap? Maybe you should educate yourself a bit more on laser before purchasing. :thinking:
