Noticeable difference in powers?

Ok... I'm still def a laser n00b... but I'm trying to learn! It would help obviously if I actually got to see lasers up close but right now I'm still in the stage of acquiring some. Anyways I guess the question is how noticeable would the difference in a 90 mW and a 115 mW violet be? Would it be much dimmer? Take a lot longer of a time to pop balloons and light matches? I know there will be some difference but I guess I'm trying to see from those in-the-know if it is a drastic one?

There will be some difference, but not a drastic difference in the ability to burn.

However, as the 803T blu ray diode is quite unpredictable, visibility may differ due to the wavelength differentiations.

For example, dave (i think it was dave...) had a 70mW which was brighter than a 170mW that he had because off the differing wavelengths.

You may be trying to decide on the safest/highest current you can run through
your diode...................
I believe 115-125mA will provide a long life at an impressive output......................using a good heat sink!
