Basic rule of thumb, if it's too bright to look at... don't look at it
At least with IR filtered greens. There shouldn't be all that much IR though, and even if there is it's probably not collimated.
The reason I say with greens is because other wavelengths are not nearly as visible, but that doesn't mean the energy is not there.
