Hey guys! Ok I know this is a dumb question, but I wanna be sure just in case...
The 18650 for my Spartan 589 (a protected Nitecore 3400 mah) is currently out for delivery. In this hobby, I've never used a Li-Ion battery before, largely due to my generally preferring much lower powered lasers.
Anyway, for the first charge, should I make sure to let it fill all the way up, or would it be ok to get a little juice on it and see what the laser can do? I have a Nitecore i2 charger. I've seen the rumors that the first charge can mess up a battery if not done properly when searching the Internet, but honestly, it sounds more like a cultural myth than truth but I'd like to be sure so I don't mess up the battery.
I ordered the battery on Wednesday and the laser on Friday, but somehow the laser got here from China before the battery got here from Massachusetts.
