Alright, so... I'm new to DIY in general, but especially new to lasers.. That being said, I need some help with a project I had in mind.
I bought a blu-ray writer diode off of e-bay for $30, that can run at ~100mw with a 100% duty cycle (or should I just say no duty cycle?). I have a vague idea of where to start. I think I need to get a driver, specifically an LM317 driver. I want to make it instead of buying it, so I know how to fix it and/or make another one if need be. Problem is I have NO idea how to make one. If anyone has any suggestions or pointers that could set me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.
By the way, if this isn't the right forum for this kind of topic, sorry. I'd appreciate it if a moderator could move it to the right section if this is the case.
