Anyone ever heard of these

Sony, Tohoku University develop blue-violet laser with 100 watt output, eyeing 1TB optical disk future? -- Engadget

would anyone want to put this in a handheld

This has been posted about several times, it's pulsed, that 100W is for only a few seconds, it's CW power is like 3mW or so, was posted in one of the other threads.
