NEW place to buy different kinds of laser diodes

ok i found this great site called http://www.alltronics.com
if you go into the laser section they have tons of LDs some with out puts of 5mw and 30mw and such and such


has anyone bought from them
are their LDs good

I don't know dude, most of the ones I looked at are in the IR range, plus the ones that are red are only available at 15 and 30mW, I would just buy one from senkat, they're cheaper and you get a hell lot more power. ;D

I've bought from alltronics on eBay a few times before. The seller is not the best you could hope for. Not very reliable and not a very good concept of customer service. That said, he has had some good deals in the past. Those diodes aren't one of them though!

30mW 780nm for $124? I could pull a mode powerful 780nm diode from the CD drive I pulled from the computer I carried up from the dump (someone left it to be compacted)

Not all, but most of those diodes seem to be selling for a good 10-100x what they're worth.
