I thought it was time to join, as I've referenced LPF a number of times recently. The forums do seem a bit quiet these days, but hopefully there are still a few active members.
I have been working with lasers professionally for the past ~15 years in the defense industry. Most of my work has been with lasers outside of the visible band. I recently decided that I should have a laser or two at home as well. I am fortunate to have solid laser safety background and find half of the YouTube videos on laser pointers to be terrifying.
I completed my first build yesterday; used a DTR-sourced 1.3W NDG7475 Diode, SXD buck driver and G-2 lens along with a Barnett host. I also purchased a G-8 lens from DTR and will play a bit to figure out which I prefer.
