new member never work with laser before

hi i am new to this laser thing trying to learn and figuring out about watt and mw of laser that can be use on different type of material so if any advice on them please help me

mostly engraving white acrylic and wood cutting will be done on cnc machine
which i already have

IDK, I have always thought OPT Laser's prices were a bit high. At $500+ for 6 watt laser heads and $1000+ for double that one can find these at far less expensive prices. But, I'm a cheapskate and hate to overpay for anything.
