I have got a fix, not for the original driver, the components aren't beefy enough, but i have a 5 mode (((Low (10%), mid (50%), high (100%), strobe (100%), SOS (100%))) Driver circuit i can get my hands on and distribute
It can handle 2.8-3A @ 2.7 - 4.2V. you will still kneed to hook it up to a laser driver though, but it gives you those power options And its Dimension are ( Dia x H ): 1.9 x 0.6cm(0.75 x 0.24in) :tinfoil:

This is NOT the route I was looking for. If I was going to use this route then I would just use this driver for a 445nm diode. In this build I was going to do PHR at 120mA I'm looking to change a value on the tailswitch to render the strobe/high/low function on the negative side of the circuit. I know that its pushing it, but I was hoping without putting to much effort into it that I could use the tailswitch IC.
I mean there's no real way to mod the original circuit, unless you build one from the ground up, i gave up and just scraped off all the original components and hot wired my tail cap to be momentary

i think the momentary will be a good safety feature so i don't pull a running laser out of my pocket, and i cant seems to find any of the "key" type FDA approved switches anywhere :eg:

Dude i think your heat sink whomps mine! i built mine out of a lump of aluminum made from 24 pop cans XD, but check out my build, the photos are on my website

I'll check it when I can thanks man. I can show you how to make one from home depot parts also. The trick to this sink which makes this host hard to work with is the little lip area given at the threads... There is a work around ill post later.

Thanks, and yea my shoulder was done at the end of this project, same with my back! :crackup: I didnt, but i shoulda taken a pic of the pile of shavings on the floor. :tinfoil: And yes i had saftey glasses on the whole time. :beer:

Man You gotto give me time I'm a youth coach and father and Golf Course Superintendent. Life gets in the way sometimes.
