Yes! I have always designs hosts like them with thinner host and duty cycle very long but its head is bigger than thia host for running duty cycle longer!

I have always favored larger heat sinks too. But, that's just me. I've found that when you are using your laser you don't want to worry if you are getting close to the end of your run time as you are trying to photograph it. I did loses a couple of diodes early on by skimping on the host, but haven't ever since.
