Any reason why I can't post a link in a thread so other readers can see which laser I am trying to ask a question about?

Yup !! There is a ten post minimum to post links...this is to discourage the spambots from taking over the forum ! you can post a link, without the www or http:// and a mod (like me) will go in and fix your link so it works Welcome to the forum, BTW !!!

Oh for cripes sakes, I posted a new thread over in the Green Laser forum but for the life of me I can't post even a shorted or partial thread link because of the anti-bot filter, I have given it four tries now.

Oh wait, I think I figured it out.  The quote system puts a link in so I can't quote your post without removing the link.

Thanks for the help. I hope to become a regular/serious member, but my budget is only so large. Cars, guns, flashlights/lasers, computers, and more do a good job of causing a vacuum like noise to come from my wallet.
