Heh. If you can still differentiate colors, your not using 100% scotopic vision. It has to be almost totally dark before that happens.. and the presence of a bright light source like a laser is going to ruin it. In dim but not pitch black conditions, your vision is mesopic, which means your using both the rods and cones. The shift in vision curves isn't cut and dry like flipping a switch, and most people don't realize how extremely rare it is for one's vision to be completely scotopic.
It will yes, but 532nm is actually closer to the peak of the scotopic curve than it is to the peak of the photopic curve.. The shift between the curves isn't really extreme. Only about 35nm or so towards the blue. Yes in dim conditions 445 will be more visible.. however.. so will 532nm.
Well, I will be in an area with quite literally *no* street lighting and laws against lights past 10:30 late at night tonight... so I will bring my lasers and be out late with them!
Not really a law, but it's a closed neighborhood and in the HOA you visible lights on in your house (visible from the outside) past 10:30pm and earlier than 5:00am.
Stupid stuff like that is why you'll never find me living anywhere with an HOA. If I *BUY* the property, i'm going to do whatever *I* please (so long as it's legal) on *MY* property.
When other people start telling you what you can and can't do on or with your own property... well.. you get Sony. heh.
Yup... coop condos are the worst. One of my friends bought one, and the amount of restrictions is incredible. I mean it's nice, but to me the lack of freedom is kind of ridiculous... If I want to have people over I'll have people over at my crummy apartment anytime
Edit... you don't get Sony... you get Sonapple aka socialism
