Oh, that sheds some new coherent light on the subject.

Anyhow, perhaps we need to find a high efficiency diode to achieve class IV power...

Or simply use a 1W 9mm can diode W/FAC, mount it inO-like 9mm housing and watch the magic happen.

I plan on buying 10-12 each of LCC and LOC, maybe I can find a "freak" in them.
Or perhaps the one I'm running now is a freak. 7 hours @520mA is more then I ever expected.
Here's a video of my LCC, if you care to see it.(and have not already) Did not make one of this LOC, because they are almost identical in performance.
