New 585nm Laser Diodes!

Good news at last guys!
We have finally got some near-yellow diodes available and like the 488's they are cheap too!
Central wavelength of 585nm and peak output of 60mW.

Are those diodes extracted from the diode blocks in the new projector that reportedly uses yellow laser diodes?

I believe they come from the new RGBY Casio-2021AF-001s

Yup, I think new diode is using mixed wavelenght

No, its a genuine monochromatic diode. Just part of a very special and advanced projector

I have Casio wrist watch, Can I pot mod it to 577nm?

No, no such pot mod. The best way would be thermal tuning. Your body temperature may not allow that now springs arriving. If you want a low wavelength wait until the winter again.

That's awesome, I wonder how long until we can buy something from sanwu or jetlasers with it. I haven't bought many lasers since getting into hifi, but I'd definitely have to get a good diode yellow

I also heard about a super cheap Direct Diode 570nm coming out next year sometime around April from Sharp. supposedly itll be 150mw max at around $50 U.S.
