Well, look at it this way - at least you have a choice of laser-related forums - you can post here rather than over there at WL. I would tend to agree that they are over the top with the moderation - I can sort of see them not wanting the failings of their products or the products of their competitors discussed, however, when they ban the discussion of laser manufacturers that don't make portable lasers of any kind, that's nuts. I tried to enlighten them to how illogical they were being by doing that, but, you guessed it - post gone in an instant (even though I didn't start the post but only posted a comment).

But hey, you still have this forum, alt.lasers on Google, and probably some others where you can say pretty much anything you want.

Ahem, I think cultural differences are apparrent here guys.

Remember this is China we're talking about; regardless of where the sites may appear to be from.

WL and Techlasers, AND Dragon Lasers are all Chinese firms right?

China is well known for a complete lack of any human rights principles as familiar to their western counterparts; us.

So, the concepts of fairness, freedom, rights etc... are all alien to the Chinese authorities, and therefore its people, therefore its businesses.

Basically, don't be surprised to be mistreated whenever dealing with China or its companies.

Highly political, but just an objective observation and reasonable conclusion based on facts and experience.
