Need some help with soldering

You can simply desolder the spring from the driver board and replace with wire. If you're unsure you can search the forums and/or Google for some further tips.

Yes the spring is where the negative or black wire would go, the positive or red wire can be soldered directly to the module itself.

I recommend soldering the positive wire
where the case pin connects rather than
directly on the module. There is a chance
the iron will overheat the module. The
case pin is the pin coming out of the back
of the module that is "grounded" to the
module. Don't use a continudity tester to
find it, because it can blow out the
diode. Just look at the back to see which
one is off center and connected to the
case. If you have trouble, take some
pictures and post them here.

Don't forget to wear an ESD strap at all times.

How would I desolder the spring? From what side? Or does it even need to be removed? Also sorry for asking some many questions just don't want to ruin my first laser im making.

From the images, seems that your spring is just soldered, it means that if you melt the solder it must come off easily. By the way, if it doesn't come off, then there's a hole in the board where part of the spring is inserted, if this is your case, you need to melt the solder and with some tool twist the spring to unscrew it from the hole. You can "cut" the spring off if you want, or just leave it. :yh:
