I found these:bcroft said:Does anyone know where i can find a 3 Ohm or 7 Ohm resistor? if anyone has one or two would you be interested in selling?
If using a 3 ohm resistor with the LM317, the current going to the diode will be 416ma's. This means you need a .52 watt resistor. Granted you could use a 1/2 watt resistor, but I like to follow ohms law and do what ohms law is telling me to do.SargeMX5 said:1/2watt is enough, 1 watt and the resistor is bigger. depending on the current, you may be able to get away with 1/4 watt
