Hello.

My laser host has a 11,4x0.5 mm female thread. I have a G8 lense with male m9x0.5 mm on both ends. I also have an expander with 11,4x0.5 mm male threads.

Could you please let me know what kind of adapter I need to purchase to be able to attach everything together?

Expander screws in laser host just fine but I can't figure out how to attach a G8 in between them. G8 can't be attached to anything.

Any help or advice will be very appreciated.

Here is what I got. I hope it helps. There is some kind of adapter that Barret is selling but it seems to be missing male threads on one end so I doubt it would help.

You need to unscrew the top bezel of your pointer so that you can examine the primary lens that you wish to replace with the G8.
The Chinese made pointers usually use an 8mm lens barrel or the 9mm ( M9 x 0.5 )

Thank you everyone for your help. I was going insane trying to figure where that G8 lense was suppose to go.

Now I have a different headache. If you could help me again that would be priceless!

This is indeed a Chinese laser. It's supposedly a 6W diode "tuned" to produce 8W of optical power. At least that's what shop owner told me and I can verify it of course. I couldn't get exact diode model information as well as no information about the lense and I asked this several times from different support agents.

The lense inside is much larger compared to the M9x0.5 that I have so I can't attach it directly. That Chinese original lense seems to be fixed to a small aluminium frame with threads on the sides. It moves inside a cylinder when I rotate that cylinder. But it can be adjusted to a certain point before it "unscrews out" of that cylinder.

I've never seen any lenses for sale that looks like that. With that weird looking metal thingy. So I wonder if it's possible to get something like this that's G8. Again thanks for reading and I would love to hear any advice or just your thoughts.

Your primary is the little brass barreled lens, but it looks like an 8mm, so you probably won't be able to use the G8 without modifying the housing.

If you do remove the primary to see if your 9mm barreled G8 will fit, make certain you remove the battery before looking down the business end.

p.s. You have tried twisting the center section ( when assembled ) to focus as factory built, right ?
Note: If you can use the G8 as your primary then you would leave out the factory sliding objective, however you might be better off reassembling it ( as factory ) and adjusting for your best infinity focus, wrap a piece of tape around the center section, then attach your beam expander and adjust the beam expander.
