This is what Im going to do. Im going to remove the original driver and just throw in a Flex Drive that Lava is selling. With that in there I wont have to worry about these resistor calculations and so forth That will clear up the problem that im having with this driver thats killed 3 diodes...hopefully

Surely a 3.6[ch937] is good?

You can use a 1[ch937] and still be safe, typically. More than 2, and you're cutting down on output unecessarily.
